The SAT exam serves as a gauge of your capacity for critical analysis, which is essential for academic achievement in college. The SAT measures your ability to evaluate situations and come up with solutions—skills you developed in school but will require in college. Juniors and seniors in high school generally take the SAT.
There are two writing subscores for the multiple-choice and essay sections of the SAT, and each component is graded on a scale from 200 to 800. In the US, PR, and US, it is administered seven times a year. six times a year, and in territories.

The Critical Reading, Math, and Writing sections of the SAT each include a certain number of content-related questions.
The Part Not Scored
In addition, there is a 25-minute variable or equating portion that is not scored. It’s possible for this ungraded portion to consist of multiple-choice questions on critical reading, arithmetic, or writing. This ungraded part is used to test out new questions for upcoming SAT editions and to make sure that scores on new SAT editions are similar to scores on prior versions of the exam. It does not count toward the final score.
