The Reading and Writing section combines comprehension, vocabulary in context, evidence, grammar, sentence structure, transitions, organization and expression of ideas. Strong performance depends on reading precisely and selecting answers supported by the text.
Math measures algebra, advanced math, problem-solving and data analysis, geometry and trigonometry. Calculators are permitted throughout Math, but students should understand when calculator use is efficient.
Students should develop reliable accuracy early in each section and become comfortable moving between different question types and difficulty levels. Adaptive testing is not a substitute for skill development; strong preparation focuses on reasoning, evidence, mathematical accuracy and time management.
Take a realistic diagnostic before building a detailed schedule. Record section scores, missed questions, uncertain questions, timing problems and the skill tested by each mistake. A student with content gaps needs a different plan from a student who mainly loses points through rushing.
A practical plan moves through four stages: diagnose, learn, practise and simulate. Start with the largest weaknesses, learn the relevant concepts, practise targeted questions, introduce timing, then use full-length simulations strategically.
For each meaningful error, record the question type, your answer, the correct answer, why your answer was wrong and what you will do differently next time. Ask: What skill was tested? Why did I choose my answer? Why is the correct answer better? What clue did I miss? How will I recognize this next time?
Timing problems usually come from weak content knowledge or spending too long on one difficult question. Build accuracy first, then introduce timed sets. On test day, do not allow one question to control the entire section.
Full-length tests are useful for measurement and simulation, but the learning comes from reviewing them. Identify recurring errors, timing issues and skill gaps, then use those findings to plan the next study cycle.
Week 1: diagnostic and baseline. Weeks 2–3: core skills. Weeks 4–5: mixed and timed practice. Week 6: full simulation and analysis. Week 7: recurring weaknesses and pacing. Week 8: final readiness and test-day preparation.
A sustainable routine balances learning, practice and review. Each week should include targeted skill practice, mixed practice, timed work, error-log review and a clear plan for the following week.
Confirm registration information and current official requirements. In the final days, focus on recurring concepts, your error log, pacing, confidence and sleep. Avoid exhausting last-minute study.
There is no universal number of study hours. Consider your current performance, target score, time before the test and size of the skills gap. A focused plan may be enough for a student near the target, while broader gaps may require longer structured preparation.
